Buenos Aires, February 13 (NA).- With Peronism divided in the vote and with the help of allies, the ruling coalition in the Chamber of Deputies managed to pass with a first reading the bill that ratifies the agreement between Mercosur and the European Union, which will allow tariffs on more than 90% of exports to be reduced and cut access barriers for European industrial goods. The initiative garnered 203 votes in favor, 42 against, and four abstentions. With Peronism split, the ruling coalition ratified the Mercosur-EU treaty in the Chamber of Deputies.
